For stallion stations
StallionDesk runs the stallion station. TackleOS runs the barn.
StallionDesk is a separate app for stallion stations, sold separately with its own site. Farms that use both link them, so horses, contacts and fees move between the two.
What it is
Built for standing stallions to outside mares.
A breeding in StallionDesk is one stallion and one mare for one season, from contract to foal, on one page.
- ContractsBreeding contracts from draft to signature. Terms are locked the moment a contract is created.
- Semen orders and shippingRequests from first ask to delivered container, with carrier, tracking and return deadlines. Marking a shipment shipped emails the owner and vet.
- Frozen inventoryFrozen semen batches by stallion: what's in the tank and what it's good for.
- Registry paperworkA paperwork checklist per breeding for its registry, and the season's breeding report, checked for anything the registry would reject.
- Owner and vet linksMare owners and vets never make an account. Each breeding has a private link for each, to follow shipments and send insemination dates, check results and foal details for you to approve.
How they connect
One set of horses. One set of invoices.
The link between StallionDesk and TackleOS comes with every TackleOS farm.
- Your horses
- Owners and contacts
- Charges and invoices
StallionDesk reads your stallions, mares, owners and contacts from TackleOS.
Stud, booking and shipping fees arrive in TackleOS as charges to invoice.
- Contracts
- Semen orders and shipping
- Owner and vet links
- 1
Connect from StallionDesk
Start the link in StallionDesk's settings, then pick your farm and approve it in TackleOS. Only owners and managers can connect it.
- 2
StallionDesk reads your records
Your stallions, mares, owners and contacts come across from TackleOS, so nobody types them twice.
- 3
Fees arrive as charges
Stud, booking and shipping fees land in TackleOS as charges, and go out on the owner's invoice with board, training and everything else.
- 4
Bill them as your services
In Farm Settings, Integrations, choose which of your services each kind of fee is billed as, so stud fees show as your stud-fee service.
- 5
Disconnect any time
See who linked StallionDesk, when, and when it was last used. Disconnect and its access stops immediately.
Which one do you need?
They do different jobs. Plenty of farms only need one.
- TackleOS
- The whole barn: horses, health, breeding records, shows, feed, people and billing. Add BreedingOS+ for the full breeding program at your own farm.
- StallionDesk
- The business of standing stallions: contracts, semen orders and shipping, frozen inventory, registry paperwork and links for mare owners and vets.
- Both, linked
- For farms that stand stallions and run a full barn. Horses and contacts live in TackleOS, and every StallionDesk fee is billed from one place.
Let's connect
TackleOS works the way your barn works.
Turn off what you don't use, turn on what you need. Tell us how your barn runs, and we'll set TackleOS up to match.
